Why we built an LED dice tray for physical dice
The best part of a tabletop roll was never the arithmetic. It was the moment around it.

We did not start OmniRoll because physical dice needed replacing. We started because the moment around a roll deserves more attention.
A die crossing the table is tiny theater: anticipation, sound, movement, and the shared pause before everyone sees the result. Digital tools make campaigns easier, but they can also pull eyes away from that shared moment. Our first tray is a simple expression of the idea that technology can support the ritual without becoming the ritual.
Lighting gives the rolling area a visual center. The tray contains the roll, protects the surrounding table, and makes ordinary dice feel deliberate. No proprietary dice are required. No account should be required to enjoy the first product.
OmniRoll Vision grows from the same rule: keep the dice, upgrade the moment. We are exploring a camera and AI detection arm that could understand rolls from ordinary polyhedral dice, but that work is separate from OmniRoll Origin, our 3D-printed LED tray arriving first.
